An 18th-century Ottoman aqueduct, the Kamares Aqueduct was constructed in 1746 to supply water to Larnaca. Originally stretching 10 km with 75 arches, 33 arches remain intact today, beautifully preserved as an architectural and engineering marvel. It is a prominent symbol of Ottoman influence on the island’s infrastructure and provides a striking photo opportunity with its series of stone arches set against green fields. The aqueduct is accessible and often visited both daytime and illuminated at night, enchanting visitors with its historic grandeur.
